Author, Co-Producer, Director, Host

Ballantyne is the author of both books about the Playhouse as well as being the Co-Producer/Director for the documentary and Co-Producer and Host for the “On the Marquee” interviews. He has well over 60 years experience in professional and local theater as well as TV, with many of those years at the Playhouse. Ballantyne has toured extensively as well as being involved in between 600-700 productions during his career. On the literary side, the two Playhouse books will be his 4th and 5th books which he has authored as well as numerous plays.

Cinematographer, Co-Producer, Director, Editor

Michael Rossi is the cinematographer for both the documentary and the “On the Marquee” intervews. He is also Co-Producer of both of those projects as well as being the Director for “On the Marquee.” He is also the editor for both video projects. Rossi has been a cinematographer for many years with several years at local television stations. Rossi also has a theatrical background having appeared in several productions with local theaters. Ballantyne and Rossi have teamed up on numerous video productions previously. He is one of the premier cinematographers in the Youngstown, Ohio area.

Composer/Selected Pieces

Blackson is serving as the composer of selected musical pieces for the documentary, including the main musical theme. He has been prominent on the local Youngstown musical scene for many years. He has worked with both the Youngstown Playhouse and Easy Street Productions on numerous productions. Many people know him from Beyond Broadway Entertainment and the cabaret act he does with his wife, Mary Jo Maluso. Blackson is also one of the most prominent music and piano instructors in the Youngstown area.
